Edwin Tarver - Patent Attorney

Background

Mr. Tarver concentrates his practice on patent prosecution before the US Patent and Trademark office as a licensed patent attorney. With expertise in a diverse range of technologies, and a background in composition, he brings a broad range of technical experience particularly suited to the art of drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Since joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Tarver has filed over 200 patent applications; drafting utility applications in the fields of medical devices, mechanical and electrical devices, and software, including business processes; including a large number of industrial design applications.

Prior to joining Patel & Alumit, P.C., Mr. Tarver worked in complex commercial and personal litigation, and brings his experience in this area to Patel & Alumit’s intellectual property litigation practice where he assists with all areas of IP litigation. In addition to his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law, Mr. Tarver also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis on biotechnology and a minor in chemistry, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English composition. He is an active member of the Intellectual Property section of the American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association, and the International Trademark Association.
